Rede pela Transição - An announcement from partners in the Brazilian northeast

Food security and community empowerment in urban concentrations

Our friends have launched a platform detailing regenerative work and food security with poor urban communities.

In their words…

We would like to present the Rede pela Transição platform, which supports learning journeys focused on ecological education.

The Eco-Escola Day is free, and brings together resources to support the work of advocates in the teaching of Agroecology in schools, based on the following themes:

  • Urban agriculture

  • Relationship with and with the world

  • Holistic health

  • Water

  • Healthy food and waste

These themes are taught in order to revive traditional farming methods and integrate them with scientific knowledge. The day is designed for educators from the upper years of elementary schools and high schools, to help them become advocates for sustainable practices within education.

Access Platform: www.coletivoafe.org/rede

The Network for Transition intends to co-create and share practical agroecological solutions for everyone, with a foundation in community empowerment, ensuring access to quality food and health care for all. The Network is formed by a group of people, institutions, collectives and small producers.

This technological project is part of the @ravirrocha masters research, within scope of the Postgraduate Program of the National Network for the Teaching of Environmental Sciences from the Federal University of Pernambuco.
