Trees of Music, RAIN & Bach | Atlantic Forest regeneration

With mastery of the instrument and dedication to Bach's message and the wonders of nature, James is on a mission to advocate for the preservation of the Atlantic Forest and the iconic Brazilwood, also known as the Pernambuco tree, which gives string instruments their distinctive sound.

ABOUT RAIN & TREES OF MUSIC: Trees of Music: a project by RAIN REFOREST, aligns musicians, the love for music, and the regeneration of the Atlantic Forest to preserve the Brazilwood (Pernambuco tree), a critical species on the brink of extinction due to illicit exploitation.

Connecting the classical music community with the regeneration of this endangered species emphasizes the importance of giving back to nature and protecting the tree that has given voice to music for centuries.

Connection. Diversity. Thriving trees need thriving ecosystems.

Our journey began with a clear mission: protect the Pau-Brasil tree. Along the way, we formed connections with talented classical musicians and caring individuals. 50 thousand saplings of Brazilwood were planted in Brazilian ground. However, our evolving narrative now extends to safeguarding the entire Atlantic Forest and its biodiversity. Every tree, person, and musician contributes to this intricate symphony. It takes a symphony to raise a forest!

Trees of Music is about the whole, about biodiversity.
